Introdction

Interdisciplinary Practical Elite Program (IPEP) belongs to College of Environment and Resources, MingChi University of Science and Technology, an industry-academic cooperation type of research and development university. Our teaching combining theory and practice emphasizes the hard-working attitude and engineering ethics. The College of Environment and Resources affiliated with MingChi University of Science and Technology includes three departments, that is the Department of Chemical Engineering, Department of Materials Engineering, and Department of Safety, Health and Environmental Engineering. The IPEP was established in 2018 based on the vision of cultivating excellent technical talents. Students in this program can be employed immediately after graduation attributed to the fact that their ability was certified by the enterprises. The curriculum comprises higher proportion of practice courses than that of theory courses, emphasizing operative capability and license acquisition. Furthermore, the curriculum enhances interdisciplinary learning, permitting students to study in the fields of chemical engineering, materials engineering, and safety, health and environmental engineering. In addition to the learning in campus, a sandwich teaching is implemented by our school. A whole year of an off-campus internship in the second semester of junior year enables students to accumulate practical work experience and build up scientific and technological knowledge in various corporations or organizations.

The IPEP welcomes high-school students from the groups of chemical engineering, mechanical engineering and electrical engineering to join us. Our program aims to cultivate interdisciplinary, professional and practical ability that meets the requirement of various industries. The current graduate alumni of our college are outstanding in work or academic, and are highly praised by all walks of life.
